1. What is Web Hosting?
Website Hosting is the place where your website resides on the internet in
order to be viewed by anyone with an internet connection. In simple terms
it's like renting a place for your website to live. For a monthly fee,
your website resides on the Web Host's servers and is available to be
viewed by anyone surfing the internet.
2. Does your company offer Web Hosting?
No, Web hosting is not our business. We
can however recommend an excellent Web Hosting service to you.
3. What is a Domain Name?
A domain name is basically your name and address on
the internet.
4. Do I have to have a domain name and Web Hosting set up before I hire a
Web Designer?
No. You will have to have a domain name and
web hosting purchased before your website can be uploaded to the internet.
We can recommend an excellent place to acquire your domain name and web
hosting. However, we do ask that before you purchase web
Hosting, please get with us, so that we can advise you on what Web Hosting Package
to purchase so that it will accomodate your website.
5. How long does it take to create a website?
Quality Website creation is not done
overnight. It takes planning, preparation and time to create a quality
website that will work for you. We do aim to get your site up and working
as quickly as possible and the length of time depends on several factors,
including the size of the website you are requesting. Please ask us about
the time frame for your specific website when placing your order.
6. Can you update or re-design my existing website?
Yes, we can. Please contact us
for details.
7. What will it cost to get a web site created?
It depends on what type of website you
require and what "extras" you want. Our basic informational site
starts at $325.
Other Options can be added at an extra charge, if you require additional
features.
And when do I pay?
A retainer is required to start the project. The remaining balance is due
upon the completion of the website.
8. Who supplies the text on the website?
You provide all the text. We will help you
with keyword suggestions for your text.
9. Who supplies the logos on the website?
We require your company logo when setting up
the website. We will need this in an image format (.jpg, .gif, or .png).
If you don't have a logo yet, we can create one for you. Please ask us for
further details.
10. Who supplies the photos on the website?
Generally, you supply all photos. However,
we can supply royalty free stock photos at an additional charge. Ask us
for details.
11. What if I don't like the website?
We work closely with every client to ensure 100% satisfaction. We have a approval process that we utilize throughout all stages of the project to make sure that we are on target with what the client wants their website to be.
12. I can't connect to my website. What do I do?
First, check to see if you can connect to
other websites, this will tell us if your internet connection is working
or not. If you are able to connect to other websites, then call
682-553-5612 or email and let us know what is happening. We will check it
out and get back to you.
13. What are search engines?
Search engines are websites that help you
search the internet for websites based on the keywords you provide.
14. Do you submit my site to search engines?
Yes, with your website package we submit
your website to the major search engines. Google, Yahoo, DMOZ, MSN and
AltaVista.
