The Process
The Process for initiating the website through to the completed project.Initial contact is made via phone or email .Information is collected about how the client wants their site to look and function. After the initial contact, the process can go one of two ways. Some clients prefer to meet in person, so for these people we set an appointment to meet with them.
Others are busy and prefer to handle everything via phone and email. Either way is perfectly acceptable and the process from that point on is the same.
In an in person meeting or phone meeting - we discuss your website further to establish the scope of the project.
The client is given a Client Agreement to read, sign and return. Other paperwork work is the Website Planning Worksheet and the Content Worksheet. Both of which need to be filled out and returned (you need to keep a copy for your records of all paperwork.)
It is highly preferable that we go over the Planning and Content Worksheets together - either during the in person meeting or if we are doing this via phone and email then we would need to have a phone session to go over the worksheets.
Once all paperwork is completed and returned along with deposit, and all client supplied materials for the website, the process of creating the layout for your website begins.
Design mock-ups are provided to the client for their approval. Upon approval of a design, we then move on to constructing the pages, inserting the text, pictures and other graphics, links, etc. . .
Sign-off sheets are sent to the client as each section is completed and needs their approval. Once sign-offs sheets are approved and returned, then we move on to the next section of the site.
Web Design is a collaborative work between the Web designer and the client. I need your input to design your site to fit your needs.
Note: all items to be reviewed will be placed within the Client Area of this website so you can view them online.
This process is followed until all pages, functions, etc. . . are complete. At that time the website is uploaded to your web host and tested.
Upon your final approval of the website and its functionality, your site will then be submitted to the top search engines.
